Candles have been used for thousands of years and up until the early 1900s they were the single source for artificial light. Candles also have a rich tradition in religious services in many faiths throughout history. Today, the candle is no longer the single source of light but are still used abundantly in religious services as well as in birthday celebrations, holidays, and home decorations. In this beginning candle making class, you will learn basic sand candle skills such as layering, adding fragrance and color. You will learn about the different types of wax that are used to make candles. You will take home 3 different candles a layered candle, a massage candle, and a sand candle.
The class will be outside.
Must be at least 12 years of age or older.
